The modern church is so consumed with the existence and power of Satan over their lives that they give him a mythical sort of awe and reverence without even realizing it. According to them, there is nothing Satan doesn't have his hand or pitch fork into concerning the everyday affairs of mankind. Satan controls my finances, he is gave me a flat tire today, he destroyed my marriage and on and on. If they weren’t so serious it would be hilarious. They seem to elevate him to some god like status. Why not attribute some evil beatitudes to him.
Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend an hour once a week with their fellow Christians in Church ~ they are my best hell raisers.
Blessed are those who wait to be asked and expect to be thanked ~ I can use them in my "screw you" schemes of darkness.
Blessed are those who are sensitive. Soon they will stop going to church ~ verily, they shall be my flea market vendors and Nascar fans.
Blessed are those who sow gossip and trouble ~ they are my beloved mean spirited children.
Blessed are those who have no time to pray ~ for they are MY prey. Blessed are the boastful for they are truly just like me.
Bottom line, Satan performed his role perfectly in God Almighty's scheme of things. And in a strange and twisted way he was more honest and true to his calling than we could ever be left to our own selves and selfish desires. It's an "HEART" issue folks. We are our own worst enemies when it comes to our faith and religion. The Scripture I read tells me that satan has been perfectly destroyed in the revealing of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Rev 20: 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
